Divorce requires lots of support from the people who care about the couple who's splitting up, and now friends and family can be even more helpful along the path to starting over. UK department store Debenhams has launched a divorce registry system for ex-Mesdames and Messieurs who need a little assistance in building their new single lives.
The divorce registry is set up exactly like your typical wedding registry.

Jennifer Garner currently plays the role of happy wife and mom, but she tells Parade that her love life hasn't always been that seamless. Speaking about her previous divorce from Scott Foley, Jennifer said:

Take a vacation, buy a new wardrobe, or find a therapist. Even get some friends together and have a dinner party, but don't put on a sash that says "It's All About Me" and throw a divorce party.
With divorce party planners, there are parties that go as far as having bands, caterers, and cakes as elaborate as the tiered, white cakes of weddings.

A friend recently told me about a guy she met. He was just her type, but there was one hang-up — he was in the middle of getting a divorce.
People going through divorces might be technically available, but their emotional availability is a whole other question.

Jon and Kate are both planning on being home for the holidays this year. Despite the quarreling twosome's very messy and public divorce, Jon says that they will all be celebrating Christmas together as a family. Every divorce and family is unique and what works well in some broods may not work for others; critics say that it may give the children a false sense of what is really going on.

We've all heard that 50 percent of marriages will end in divorce, but do you know what happens after that? For the first time in 2008, the Census Bureau gathered remarriage stats for Americans. It found that 5 percent of people who have ever been married have been married three times or more.
