About 40 percent of you say you make judgments about your co-workers' food choices, but do you pay attention to their tardiness?
A friend of mine recently confided that she's been tracking when her co-worker arrives in the office after she noticed he shows up nearly an hour late each day.
Apparently, he stays at the office late and is paid on salary, but his tardiness bothers her because she too works hard and still arrives on (or before) the expected hour.

A girlfriend of mine called me last night while she was waiting for her date at the restaurant bar where they had planned to meet. This was their first "date" and she was pretty excited to spend the evening with him. When she called me, I was confused since I knew they had plans, and she went on to say that she had been waiting for him for 25 minutes.

I don't know about you, but at least weekly in my office, someone sends out an email about some delicious food in the kitchen, whether it's freshly baked muffins or a box of See's candy. Getting instant food alerts can be very tempting, but indulging every time could sabotage your healthy eating efforts. One strategy is allowing yourself to give into just one temptation a week, but what if you're on the fence about whether to indulge in the latest treat?

Grabbing your keys and running out the door is a distant memory when you enter motherhood. The process suddenly involves packing the diaper bag, doing one last nappy change and ensuring your clothes are clear of spit up stains. All of the last minute prep work can easily make a mama late for her meeting, playdate or appointment, but if the plans involve fellow moms, most are usually sympathetic.

School bells are ringing and many mothers are doing the back-to-class dance! While some moms love the lazy days of Summer, others long for homeroom and after school activities. Sleeping in and family vacations may sound heavenly, but it can be challenging to entertain children every day for a three-month stretch.

It's pretty standard to have a console table in your front hall, to use as a landing strip for your keys, purse, etc. A bench or another sort of seat is more unusual. But if your home is heavy on the square footage, it's a cute and easy way to fill space.

After a series of alarm-clock blunders led my friend to snatch up a pricey iPod/iPhone-compatible alarm clock in a hurry, she learned the hard way that a better alarm for half the price could have been hers. Of course, comparison shopping online is the best way to avoid buyer's remorse, but she needed it that moment to avoid any more tardy mornings at work.
Most major gadget purchases are made after some deliberation and planning, but sometimes the device you need most quits on you and you can't wait for the next release date or even rushed shipping.

Mommy Dearest:
My son and I were running late and rather than have him be tardy for preschool, I gave him an organic yogurt smoothie and children's breakfast bar to eat en route. As we walked to school, a fellow mom joined us for the last few blocks. When I told her we were having a crazy morning and had resorted to a quick meal, she scolded me saying that granola bars should be treated as snacks rather than meals and said they were the equivalent to candy bars.

The other day I wrote about the five rude things mothers do — most of which are unintentional and come with having kids and very hectic lives. Our readers commented with some of their own mama pet peeves, but many were inconsiderate things all people do. So I've compiled one more list of mum-specific offenses.
