I'm beginning to think Kristin Wiig could imitate anyone. Here, she is impersonating Suze Orman, the financial advisor with an unmistakable voice, an iconic wedge haircut, Cougar-ific fashion sense, and a way with words. (Does The Courage to Be Rich ring a bell? That always baffled me, that title.) She's so spot on Suze herself thinks she's imitating Kristin imitating her when she speaks now!

Suze Orman Gets Political: Bush Should Distribute His Fortune

In an extensive interview with WWD, Suze Orman spreads her usual antidebt message. But she also gets political, taking on George W. Bush. She says:

Commander in chief? You blew up every single financial vessel we had and if you think you aren't personally responsible, well, the blame starts at the top. There is no higher top than you, SIR! If I were you, I would feel so absolutely horrific that I would take every penny I had and distribute it to anybody and everybody to help them in whatever way I could. You owe the American people every penny of your fortune and your family's fortune.

Instead, Bush will be making a reported $7 million to write about his decision-making process, which Suze's obviously not a fan of.

Have You Ever Had to Live With Your Ex Post Breakup?

On yesterday's Oprah, Suze Orman offered up some harsh advice to those struggling financially. One couple was in such dire straights that they actually had to ask if they could afford their divorce. Suze "approved them," told them they could in fact afford it, but it got me thinking about what their lives would be like if they didn't have enough money to separate. They'd have to coexist under the same roof and sleep in the same bed, but then I realized, couples do that all the time.

I've never split up with a live-in boyfriend before so I don't know what that transition period is like, but tell me, have you ever had to stick around in the home you shared with your significant other post breakup? If so, how did it work out?

Could You Admit Your Debt Load on National TV?

Money is a personal matter, or is it? On Oprah's "Money Day" show this week, one audience member, who had previously written to the show, was asked to stand up and share exactly how much credit card debt she has.

Suze Orman was encouraging the audience and viewers to get honest about how much debt they have, and this woman (an accountant) said that she honestly has $80,000 in just credit card debt. Would you be able to stand up and tell the world exactly how much you owe?

Oprah's team then totaled the numbers submitted by the in-debt audience. Can you guess the total debt for these 225 people?

Suze Orman Is as Famous as Elton John?

For a personal finance personality, Suze Orman sure has a spotlight on her that includes a share of haters - this weekend's Saturday Night Live certainly didn't hold back in its depiction of the money matron. The past year has given Suze the opportunity to take her career to the celebrity level: According to Davie-Brown (a company that tracks the appeal of celebrities), Suze Orman is now "on par" with celebrities like Elton John and Nicollette Sheridan. It's hard to wrap my head around the idea that Suze could be as famous as Sir Elton John, and there are a lot of people out there questioning the methods she's used to get herself to this place. Suze's job is to give advice about money, but her critics observe that during the past year she's been using fear mongering tactics to benefit her stardom. She appeared on Oprah just last week and the promo for the episode (video below) gives some evidence that this could be true. On top of this general criticism, her Got Milk advertisement has raised eyebrows because of the innate conflict of a personal finance adviser starring (and being paid for) an ad that aims to sell.
