Jason Segel and Ed Helms Like to Get Stoned at Home

The perfect recipe for family dysfunction: Jason Segel, plus Ed Helms, plus pot. The two actors have signed on to play brothers in a stoner comedy titled Jeff Who Lives at Home. I don't exactly see a resemblance between the guys, but it sounds like great typecasting: the film centers on a day in the life of two bros - one's a slacker (Segel, naturally), the other is more uptight and overbearing (Helms). The Duplass brothers are at the helm on this one and as an added bonus, Jason Reitman is helping produce, and Judy Greer is in talks to play Helms's wife.

Segel has plenty of experience lighting one up (Freaks and Geeks, Knocked Up, need I go on?), so it shouldn't take much preparation for him to tap into the role. But I'm especially psyched about this casting news, because I have a secret soft spot for the film Step Brothers, and this premise should allow for a similar funny rivalry. Here's hoping for shared bunk beds!

Penelope Embraces Her Fellow Oscar Nominees in Vanity Fair

Vanity Fair's annual Hollywood Issue hits stands Feb. 9 - with Kristen Stewart and Carey Mulligan gracing the cover - just in time to celebrate today's Oscar nominations. The magazine highlights the bond between great actors and directors like Precious actresses Gabourey Sidibe and Mo'Nique with their director Lee Daniel, all of whom received nods. Annie Leibowitz captured Penelope Cruz sharing a loving embrace with her longtime friend and director in Broken Embraces, Pedro Almodóvar, though she was recognized for her work in Nine, and the boys of The Hangover Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms clowned around with director Todd Phillips. The magazine also captured Avatar creator James Cameron at work behind the camera as well as Quentin Tarantino posing with an Inglourious Basterd - check out all the photos here.

The Golden Globes took place last night in LA, hosted by our very own Ricky Gervais and attracting the hottest stars of film and TV. The winners were diverse with Avatar and The Hangover taking the top film awards and Mad Man and Glee receiving the TV honours. Individuals such as Meryl Streep, Mo'Nique, Sandra Bullock, Chloe Sevigny, Robert Downey Jr, Jeff Bridges, Martin Scorsese, Michael C Hall, Drew Barrymore and many others were also winners last night so check out the full list and let me know what you think!

The Hangover Cast Hams It Up and Won't Get Serious in Critics' Choice Press Room

The Hangover took home the Critics' Choice Award for Best Comedy, which brought the cast back into the press room tonight - check out all the winners here. Director Todd Phillips said that a sequel to the hit movie is in the writing stage at the moment, but he is hoping to get it out by Memorial Day 2011 - although he denied the rumor that Zac Efron has a role in it. The whole crew had a great sense of humor - here's a few highlights:

Phillips on Zac Efron being in The Hangover 2: "No. No. You know reporters tend to treat IMDB like it's the Wall Street Journal. You know you do realize that it's written by some 15-year-old fat kid in Tampa that updates it, right? It's really not the paper of record."
On what part of the movie fans ask about: Bradley - "They ask us about the tiger and Tyson." Ed - "They ask me what it was like to kiss Heather Graham. [It was] moist." Heather - "A lot of my girlfriends want to be introduced to Bradley. [Ed acts hurt] . . . a lot of girlfriends want to be introduced to Ed too."
Ed on being considered an "alternative heartthrob": "I'm going to try and not be insulted by 'alternative heatthrob.' An alternative hearththrob feels alternatively good and humiliated. . . It's exciting. It's a revelation, thank you."

Things got a little more somber when they were asked about the situation in Haiti, which Ken Jeong commented on before joking that he wanted to talk about his "tiny penis."

As much as I heart The Office, one of my biggest gripes about the show is that there's not nearly enough Kelly Kapoor. If you're in the same boat as me, then I've got a very special Thursday treat for you! In a new string of websiodes, we'll get to follow Subtle Sexuality, the new Dunder Mifflin girl band consisting of Kelly and receptionist Erin.

Their first video, "Male Prima Donna," is not at all subtle, but everything you'd expect from celebrity-lovin' Kelly: gold lamé costumes, fierce dance moves, and a whole lotta auto-tuning. There're even some pretty stellar cameos from Andy and the male prima donna himself (spoiler alert: it's Ryan)! Michael Cera and Jack Black coordinated in purple accents for the premiere of Year One in NYC last night. Their costar Christopher Mintz-Plasse was lucky enough to have gorgeous Zoe Kravitz on his arm, who stood out in her glittery dress among all the funny men on the red carpet. Ed Helms also came out to show his support, and even though The Hangover will be getting some competition at the box office this weekend, he and the boys already have a sequel in the works.

Stars Get A Lift At The Hangover Premiere

Lily Loveless, Megan Prescott and Kathryn Prescott from Skins were a few of the British stars out at the premiere of new comedy The Hangover last night. The cast, including gorgeous Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Heather Graham also attended to promote their film, fooling around outside the West End cinema by taking turns to be carried for entertainment of the crowd! Alex Zane and Moby were also among the guests at the premiere last night, check out the trailer and let me know if you'll be seeing it or skipping it!

The Hangover - See It or Skip It?

Judging by the trailer, The Hangover looks like a fun, raucous comedy, starring Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms. It follows a group of guys to Vegas for a Bachelor Party, and then focuses on the morning after when they have a lot of bizarre and bad things to sort out. I guess you know it was a heavy night when you wake up with a tiger and a baby in different areas of your hotel room! The trailer made me laugh, but I want to know what you think. Will you see or skip this movie when it comes out on Friday?
