It turns out, the difference between men and women's salaries is smaller than we thought — as long as those salaries aren’t very big to begin with. A new study from PayScale.com compared salaries across 90 different jobs, adjusting for any outside factors that might affect the salary (the location of the job, the worker’s education, etc.) except for the worker’s gender. There's been a lot of attention in the news lately about the new women's health recommendations that 1) you don't need a mammogram until after 50 and then only every 2 years and 2) ACOG's new recommendation that women in their 20s don't need a pap smear every year, but only every 2 years.
