As Oil Prices Soar, Restaurant Grease Thefts Rise

The bandit pulled his truck to the back of a Burger King in Northern California one afternoon last month armed with a hose and a tank. After rummaging around assorted restaurant rubbish, he dunked a tube into a smelly storage bin and, the police said, vacuumed out about 300 gallons of grease.
Nick Damianidis, an owner of Olympia Pizza and Pasta in Arlington, Wash., has had oil stolen.

Actress Bai Ling was formally charged with petty theft, the Los Angeles City Attorney's office announced Monday.
"(She) was charged based on an arrest that occurred Feb. 13 at LAX where she stole two Star magazines and a package of batteries," spokesman Frank Mateljan said.

Rapper DMX has been arrested at a Phoenix mall on a felony charge of taking the identity of another.
Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Hill did not have details of the charge, as it stemmed from a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office case.

Kim Kardashian has never really done anything that’s made me say, “Wow, that girl’s good with money.” She’s done a lot of things that have made me say, “Wow, that girl’s got an ass that should be on her chest,” but that’s about it. And apparently Kim’s ass cleavage is the biggest thing she’s got going for her, because not only is the girl bad with money, but she’s criminally bad. Fresh data collected by online small business insurer Insurantz.com shows that an increasing number of entrepreneurs face extra risk of litigation, loss, etc.
The insurer’s research reveals that nearly one million entrepreneurs who are starting their own small businesses from home are unwittingly placing themselves at severe financial risk because of the wrong impression that their businesses are covered by existing home-contents policies.
The study revealed a serious gap between what is needed and the commercial reality.
