Losing motivation for school
Hey all, I'm in my last year at University and only have 6 classes left until I get my degree. The problem is I feel like I'm reaching a point where I've been at it so long that my motivation is going way down. William Balfour was held without bail Wednesday in the slayings of Jennifer Hudson's family, and prosecutors suggested jealousy as a possible motive. Balfour, facing first-degree murder charges for three killings, had threatened the family with harm if his estranged wife Julia Hudson – Jennifer's sister – continued to date another man, prosecutors alleged at a bond hearing in Chicago. Reported cases of business fraud have risen by an astounding 450% during the first six months of 2009, according to the accountants BDO Stoy Hayward.
So far this year fraud has cost Scottish companies as much as £10m compared with just over £1.8m for the same period last year.The accountancy firm had predicted a rise in fraud because of the economic downturn, but the steep rate of increase has shocked even industry experts.
The level of recorded fraud only tells half the story, since a lot of fraudulent activity either goes unnoticed or companies avoid reporting it in order to avoid negative publicity.
