How will you celebrate with your mom on Mother's Day?

Mother's Day is coming up this Sunday and I was just wondering what everyone is planning on doing for their mommies? I know food is usually a big factor so I posted this under Kitchen Goddess.
celebrity_soup is planning a whole menu for her Mom from 9am to 9pm!
I'm planning on flowers in the morning and maybe making her a nice brunch and I'm hoping we'll go out for massages (need to make reservation soon! lol).

So what are you planning on doing?

Oh yeah, if you're planning on cooking at home, please share your recipes/ideas

Treat her to a home cooked meal

Take her out to a nice restaurant

Give her a greetings card and my love!

A present/gift certificate (ie: a spa treatment etc.)

Flowers

Do an errand for her (ie: clean the house, garden, laundry, etc)

I just want to wish all the mothers out there in the world a Happy Mother's Day and most importantly I want to wish a Happy's Mother's Day to Planet Earth.
So, I think that we all should do something special for our mom and for Mother Earth today.

I just have to say - I was really ticked off at the coverage regarding Hil and Mother's Day on Sunday. All I heard all day was how Obama was at home with his family for the day and wasn't that nice and great, yet Clinton was out pounding pavement and why would she do that on Mother's Day?'

You know what? In my opinion neither did anything wrong or right. They did what was best for THEM, and not the media. My guess would be that Michelle Obama requested a nice, quiet Mother's Day because she's been so supportive of her husband all this time. Makes sense to me. On the flip side, Hillary IS a mother and DID have her daughter with her and likely that's what SHE wanted for Mother's Day.

Why does the media continue to insist on beating up Clinton for every little thing? It's so hard to take sometimes. UGH!

CREEPY MOTHERS' DAY PLANTS CULLED

Thousands of Mothers' Day flowers have been destroyed after florists discovered they were infested by spiders.

The bunches of roses and carnations were about to be prepared for Sunday's big day when shocked shop assistants realised they were crawling with spiders and infested with eggs.

A waste disposal firm was called in to take the blighted blooms away.

"When the van driver arrived at our waste depot to with the flowers, he looked terrified," said Biffa waste firm manager David Graham.

He said: "I've never seen a driver so keen to unload. We employ some big burly fellas but none of them were keen to go near this consignment.

"The blooms were absolutely crawling with the creepy things."

Experts say the spiders were common British house spiders and were completely harmless but still not the sort of surprise mums would have expected on Mothers' Day.

The florists, based in Birmingham, wanted to remain anonymous but have reassured mums that all the affected flowers had now been destroyed.

"It would have been a nightmare if mums had received the flowers on Mothers' Day, but thankfully that's now been averted," said a spokesman.

Brit Gets The Kids For Mother's Day

This is super news, y'all! Britney has been given the best Mother's Day gift ever! The day with the kids! Her somewhat normal behavior lately must be paying off. Congrats Brit!

Meanwhile, Britney will most probably be heading to court next week for her much anticipated custody hearing. It's sorta gonna be weird seeing Britney show up on time or even show up at all. She really hasn't had any major court dates since her hospital stay.

Remember her last court visit? She went to court, didn't go inside, left court, went to church, went to eat, drove around, changed clothes, and stopped at 10 gas stations while being followed by 60 paparazzis. Highly doubtful daddy Spears will allow any of that sort of behavior. That was when she was under the spell of Sam Lutfi.

I'm getting everything ready to leave tomorrow morning for Sarasota and spend the weekend with my MIL and SIL's, and since I'll be running errands all day I wanted to take a minute to wish you all, amazing mommies, a very happy day this Sunday.

I am in awe of you every day, learning about your families and all the sacrifices you make without even thinking about it.
You are all wonderful mothers, enjoy your special day and let others pamper you for a change!

Mother's Day Brunch

My family celebrated Mother's Day with a bunch at this pretty Italian resturant Poggio, which is right on the Bay. Despite the fact that our waitress was a little nutty, the food was delicious as usual and they gave all the moms beautiful gardenias (this was a big hit with my flower-child mom). I had the egg with asparagus and shared the amazing goat cheese platter. I also followed PartySugar's Mother's Day Card guide and made my mom a card that made her cry a little bit.
