You can now link your PopSugar account and your Facebook account with Facebook Connect. If you already have a Facebook account, when you log in to PopSugar, just click on the Connect with Facebook button; this will automatically link your two accounts.
When you post a public comment to the PopSugar Network, be sure to check the box that says "Post this comment to my Facebook," so you can share your comments with your friends on PopSugar as well as Facebook.

You can now automatically update your Facebook status with your recent activity in groups and OnSugar blogs.
To activate Facebook status updates, click on Edit Account in your member name drop-down and choose the Facebook tab. Follow the prompts to activate it. You will have to log in to your Facebook account to activate it.

While he may have suffered from an initial technological learning curve, my dad has developed a remarkable aptitude for Facebook. A few months ago I helped him set up his own profile, mainly to connect with old high school and college friends, but also to easily share family photos. Well, Dad has now taken "sharing" into "overshare" territory after learning how to tag Facebook photos.

Really, Facebook? I guess it was only a matter of time until the service (which I admittedly use as a crutch for remembering friends' birthdays) delved into anniversary territory. Now when you change your relationship status to "In a Relationship," "Engaged," or "Married," you're prompted to enter your anniversary date.

We probably all have one or two in our update feed: a friend whose Facebook status updates — for any reason — drive you nuts. Maybe they update too frequently, are serious oversharers, or post updates about things you just don't find interesting. Reader DefyAllLogic posted this etiquette question in our Ask a Geek Girl group:
"I've already created lists of 'friends' and 'not really friends' and have my homepage set to only show the 'friends' updates.

An essay in this week's New York Times hit close to home. The author, mourning the breakup of a long-term relationship, used Facebook to keep up with what his ex was doing. Popular social networking site Facebook is breaching Canadian law by holding on to users' personal information indefinitely, a report has concluded. An investigation by Canada's privacy commission found the US-based website also gave "confusing or incomplete" information to subscribers.
Facebook says it is aiming to safeguard users' privacy without compromising their experience of the site.
