As much as we try to avoid it, sometimes we can't escape bringing our work with us when we're away from home. Most recently, my work came with me on a trip to Los Angeles, but the most inappropriate place my work has been was a camping ground in Northern California (believe me, my friends gave me plenty of flack about this one). Many of us have traveled during the last month or so, and I'm curious if your job managed to make it along on your holiday.

Workaholic is one of those words that's thrown around frequently, but have you ever stopped to think about what it really means? Working compulsively is a serious problem for many people, especially now that technology allows us access to our work at all times. The questions below come from the Workaholics Anonymous website, and it notes that you may be a workaholic if you answer yes to three or more questions.

You may go above and beyond to get your job done, but stay away from using the word workaholic in a job interview. When you're asked about a workplace weakness, employers want to hear something more thoughtful than a contrived answer suggesting you will put their company at the top of your priorities. Even if you're truly a workaholic, but many employers would see it as a cop-out answer that doesn't indicate much about your ability to do the job.

Vacations can be effective for clearing your head when the stress of every day becomes overwhelming, and most importantly, they allow you to enjoy life without a schedule. Some people know exactly where they'd go for their next vacation, but others might want a little more guidance for a trip that matches their specific emotional needs.

The BlackBerry and the iPhone are battling for number one, which means that we have two impressive options to keep us connected at all hours of the day. I'll admit that it can be difficult to tear me away from work at times, and my BlackBerry and laptop (gasp!) went camping with me last weekend. I know I'm not the only one that has issues with this, but I also know that you don't have to have workaholic tendencies for your job to be a high priority in your life.
