Most of us have heard of The Latte Factor. Love it or hate it, there's been some misconception on how much it actually costs to sip a latte daily. The coiner of the phrase, personal finance expert David Bach, has stated that buying a daily latte or something similarly priced can cost you a pretty penny of $2.7 million over 30 years.

There is no better place to put your money than in your bra, of course. Think about it, you'll have less chance of misplacing your wallet if it's hanging heavily on your bra. And if you ever get mugged, you can tell the attacker with a straight face that you're not carrying your wallet in your bag or in your pockets.

Reading about a man trying to pass off a fake $1 million bill in United Arab Emirate's Central Bank triggered a question: what's the highest currency denomination ever made in the US?
As of now, the highest bill in circulation is the $100 note and the $1 million bill has never existed, according to the website of the US Treasury.
Interestingly, the highest currency the government has issued in the past is the $100,000 bill.

I recently got into an in-depth convo with a couple of friends. It seemed a few had something in common. While most everyone agreed that their parents had cut the cord (financially speaking) years ago, some admitted that their parents were still very willing to help support their siblings.

After reading about the 10 people who made TubeMogul's list of YouTube stars making over $100,000 on Business Insider, I was really inspired to see people doing what they love and getting paid for it. I've always wondered how much these YouTubers make, and I knew it had to be a lot because of the millions of hits they get per video. Tubemogul, a YouTube analytics company, estimated their salaries from banner ads revenue, which is their main source of income.

It's a strategy that aims to capture a chunk of the millionaire heir market. By getting them involved at a young age, the bank is hoping this will ensure the heir's loyalty even after he or she reaches adulthood.

Sisters are doing it for themselves — but aren’t super confident about it. According to a new study by Prudential, 95 percent of women are involved in financial decision-making in their households, and 25 percent of us are the primary decision-makers. But somehow, most women — 86 percent — feel like they don’t know how to choose financial products (like mutual funds, annuities, and stocks).

Not to scare you, but I had a pretty terrifying dream last night, financially speaking. I dreamed that my checking account was emptied and I had no insurance to cover my losses against the theft. Pretty scary stuff.

When it comes to my bank statements and my Facebook updates, I like to keep the two separate. I don't advertise how much I'm making, and for the most part, the rest of my friends stay pretty mum on their salaries as well. We all have a pretty good idea of how we spend money, so there's no real need to get into the nitty gritty of it.
