I really should make better use out of my freezer.
1I just don't like to reheat leftovers. It's a phobia! Luckily I can send them off with my boyfriend for lunch.
2Yeah, I don't do leftovers.. I love frozen veggies though. Very convenient.
3I've always used frozen veggies. I grew up on them too.
4I'm not a big leftover fan myself. And I wish I had a bigger freezer to be able to utilize it more effectively for our family. But other things take priority over me buying a new freezer right now lol.
A shopping list is also useful. Make a list and stick to it. Don't buy anything that's not on the list. And don't buy products that are on eye-height. The cheap stuff is either on the upper shelves, or the lower shelves.
That's how I survived my student days when I had no money at all...
I love leftovers, though. Well, not everything, but some things just taste better the next day. *g*
5i think that some of these are ok - but you really have to be mindful of things. for example, i've gone the frozen food route - and in some cases you're able to save money but you have to really shop around and know what you're paying - and what you're getting for that.
6tyffi, she actually made those points as well in the original interview. All great tips!
7I always cook massive batches of soup, chili, casseroles, etc. and we eat the leftovers all week. It's a great way to save time AND money!
8Still trying to work coupons into my grocery life. Just learned that Saags sausage label has a $1 off coupon on the back. I rip it off after they have been scanned and hand it to the cashier. We eat a lot of their Bockwurst.
9I already do everything she mentioned.
10Ditto Finn and then some
