I love John Lennon and what he stood for; I love OLPCs and
what they stand for. Combining them in an OLPC commercial is not a completely misguided move, but the execution is a bit off. If it's not the impersonator doing a cheesy Lennon accent, then it's the lazy way they connected the man and the movement.

If you're single and dating, being prepared for the unexpected is key, which is why the
Hanky Panky Justine Case Overnighter Set ($38) could come in quite handy. It comes complete with lacy black
thong and a
Benefit cosmetics kit that includes foundation, lip shine, eye cream, and cheek stain — you know, so you can look your best at all times!
Is this something you'd carry with you for those impromptu
one night stands, or is this a total waste of money and
space in your purse?

I don't know what it is guys, seeing LOLs made into objects is hilarious to me. I loved it in
necklace form, and now I can't help but — LOL — at this
LOL Wooden Sign ($8).
Wouldn't it be cute in a kid's room (who are so into LOLing)?

If you're looking for a gift for the girl that has everything, check out this cheeky vibrator shaped like
Santa ($5), complete with a red hat and beard! He can bring the ultimate gift on anyone's list and he doesn't care whether you've been naughty or nice. Ho Ho Ho!

It's unfortunate that I look at the
iPig iPod Speaker ($160) and can only think of pig references in movies, like Carrie and Deliverance, because I see him and get a little creeped out (maybe it's the dead black eyes).
He is, though, for all intents and purposes, very cute, especially when that purpose is to blast music from your iPod.
But for something that's kind of a novelty item (pig-shaped things not being every grown-up's tchotchke dream), my mouth is agape at the $160 price tag.

The irony of street art meeting my laptop isn't lost on me; I'm charmed, and yet a little perplexed, by this meeting. Dutch artist Parra brings his
Parra Laptop Sleeve ($60) from InCase, and though the design is derived from graffiti, I think the actual motif is pretty pleasant.
There are days when the design might be a little too loud, though, and I'd maybe like it on something smaller (the design is also available as a
Slider Case for the iPhone 3G), but I'm not sure.

Vocabulary word of the day:
Upcycled! As in the name of this product, the
Upcycled Coffee Bag Laptop Sleeve ($35), which is made from an artist formerly known as a coffee-bean toter. Don't let the burlap on the outside scare you — inside is two cushy layers of cotton felt.

If you've been blissfully unaffected by the recession, then first of all, more power to you, and second of all, may I interest you in a $180 flash drive?
The Swarovski crystal-covered
Robot Happy Laura Flash Drive is cute but holds a paltry 2GB of data.
But maybe you've got money to burn this holiday season and someone in mind who's a robot-freak geek who needs extra (but not very much extra) storage space.

Marc Ecko is really establishing himself as the mainstream go-to for Star Wars apparel, after having introduced the
Boba Fett Hoodie and
Storm Trooper Hoodie.
And he's not content to stop there. There's a whole SW shop up — with one of my favorite new pieces being this
Darth Vader T-Shirt with a tattoo-inspired design ($34).

Some of us
still keep vinyl around, and then some of us just romanticize vinyl. If that's you, then forget your dream of buying a turntable and just hook up a
Vintage Vinyl CD Packaging Kit ($17)!
These are great for making mixes and giving CDs or DVDs as gifts for the holidays and then "wrapping" them as records, or for your own personal stash of compact discs.
