A lot of these actually don't take that much time. I'm making a lot of lavendar eye masks and yea the first one took me a while, but now I can do it pretty darn quick. And being able to do it in my spare time doesn't cost me anything. I'd rather be making something special for my friends and family then watching TV or something.

I really love receiving handmade/homemade gifts! Prob my favorite gift last year was a scarf a friend knitted for me. Unfortunately, I have neither the time or patience to make gifts to give. I often buy handmade things as gifts, though!

to me, the time to make something isn't worth the money saved
economically speaking, your time cost is 1/2 your hourly salary, so i would have to be saving tons of money and be able to do these things pretty quick to make them worth my while
