We are so thrilled to announce that Sugar user carriefrances will be joining us tomorrow night at the Sugar exclusive screening of Sex and the City! The longtime user is a HUGE SATC fan, and we could not be more excited to meet her and shower her with gifts and a fabulous party among friends.
Carriefrances will be getting goodies from SATC sponsors like Vitaminwater, Swarovski, Mercedes-Benz, Bacardi Mango Mojito, SKYY Vodka, and SJP’s Lovely fragrance. Many attending the screening will also get a t-shirt from SJP's Bitten line from Steve and Barry's. The party will include prizes and drinks from the sponsors above, as well as Lotus Vodka Cosmos, wine from Ecco Domani, and yummy Kara's cupcakes for dessert. Obviously we are counting down the minutes until we can watch these four ladies on the big screen, but we'd like to thank all of you who entered the contest and attend the event. Hopefully there will be many more Sugar soirees in the future.

Choosing your move after college graduation can be a positively daunting task because you're faced with the dilemma of too many options! Maybe you're moving to a new city without knowing many people or you're venturing to another part of the country, or maybe your plan is to stay local. It's an exciting decision because you can move anywhere you please and there's nothing controlling your decision but your own ambitions.
While curiosity about a new city will create the biggest draw, there are several other components that should be considered when evaluating the big move. Apartments.com and CBcampus.com came up with a list of the top 10 cities for new grads, based on the following factors: availability of entry-level job openings, rental prices for one-bedroom apartments, and large resident populations of young adults in their early 20s. Find out which cities made the top 10 when you read more
A more difficult question might be which Sex and the City character’s wardrobe would you choose, but I’m wondering: Whose work shoes would you step into if you had the opportunity?
There was a time when cable was one bill I didn't pay because I simply chose to go without it. I was living in an apartment that didn't have a comfy living room, and I wasn't home very much, so it seemed silly to pay for something that would go unused. My living arrangements have since changed, and my couch is so comfortable that it really does call my name at the end of a long day. And cable? Well, let's just say I'm hardly stranger to LC and Audrina, Serena and Blair, Tom and Padma, Heidi and Tim, or Vinnie and E.
Cable is hardly cheap, especially if you're paying for Internet on top of your cable bill, and there's no sign of these bills going down anytime soon. In fact, it seems the opposite is happening. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that cable prices have gone up 77 percent since 1996, and The New York Times points out that cable customers pay an average $60 bill and watch only a fraction of the channels they pay for.
The Times article wonders why more people aren't just watching their favorite shows for free online, and while it certainly seems like a feasible alternative, I enjoy the ability to watch my favorite shows with a group of friends. Are we wasting our money on cable when we have Internet at our fingertips, or is it a justified expense?
Just one more day and I'll be ready to go back to work. How many of us have said that after a long weekend? Having an extra day tacked on to our two-day weekends is a treat that I'll never take for granted, but it always seems more difficult to get motivated for the work week after having an extra day off. The first thing I always tell myself is that it's a short week, but somehow that doesn't always provide the reassurance I'm looking for — in fact, the following four-day week has a tendency to drag. We look forward to holiday weekends as a reward for so many weeks and months of work, and once it's over there's the inevitable letdown feeling that causes us to lose some motivation. Find out some of the ways I get back on track when you read more
