Test Your Core and Arm Strength With a Pull-Up Challenge From Olympic Gymnastics Legend Oksana Chusovitina

Getting your first pull-up is empowering, and no matter how many you can tally in a workout — or what type of variation you're doing — your upper body will thank you. Now, if you're looking to progress the basic pull-up, gymnast Oksana Chusovitina has quite the challenge that will test your arms and abs.

Chusovitina, who just competed this past summer in her record-setting eighth Olympic Games as the oldest-ever Olympic gymnast, shared a training video of herself demonstrating a pull-up in her home country of Uzbekistan. But it isn't just any pull-up: she, alongside athlete and former competitive gymnast Asalya Littos, executed "walking on air" pull-ups with four alternating steps on the ascent, then held straddle, tuck, and pike positions before lowering back down in that pike.
