What We're Sweet On: Kai Perfume Oil

Summer is the season of open windows with delicious smells wafting in on a warm breeze. And since we're definitely in the midst of a chilly Spring in NYC, we're depending on our trusty Kai Perfume Oil ($48) to bring the scent of the tropics to us! (Did you get it in your POPSUGAR Must Have box this month? We did!) The notes of gardenia, jasmine and lilies are a distinctly sweet take on the exotic — no wonder this cult-favorite scent counts Jennifer Garner and Naomi Watts as fans.
To get the most out of the oil, dab it on your pulse points where your body heat is naturally higher: inside of your wrists, the base of your neck, and behind your ears. Or take a little and polish the end of your hair with it for a natural defrizzer and a way to let the scent drift off of you as you walk. Now, when is Summer arriving again?
We love it so much, we included it in our April POPSUGAR Must Have subscription box — find out more and join in the fun!

Miu Miu Fall 2013 Runway
Miuccia Prada took Miu Miu in a new direction for Fall 2013, and this is one trip we'd like to tag along on. The emphasis was on skirts, dresses, and outerwear with a long, often lean silhouette. Zip-front knit dresses went past the knees, ending in surprise pops of pastel polka dots. Astrakhan coats were a standout, including a belted one in navy. While the clothing had a sporty, feminine quality, Miu Miu shoes grounded the looks with thick curved heels, lug soles, and colorblocked metallic details. The brand's beloved bags ranged from structured doctor bags in bright pastels to a bucket bag that may indeed be the world's chicest luggage. Louis Vuitton Fall 2013 Runway
Marc Jacobs has delivered a knockout Fall 2013 Louis Vuitton collection, emphasizing the intimacy and luxury of boudoir dressing. With a circular set of hotel doors surrounding an audience that included Naomi Watts and Jessica Chastain, models like Kate Moss and Lindsey Wixson showed off ladylike looks with plenty of sex appeal. Tweed suits with nipped-in waists had degrade sequins while panne velvet dresses clung to the body. The house's famous bags were rendered in fur and other luxe materials, leaving the logos off the runway. Click through to see all the photos from Louis Vuitton Fall 2013.
Chanel Fall 2013 Runway
Chanel Fall 2013 was all about celebrating the brand's global reach. With the strains of "Around the World" pumping through the Grand Palais, Karl Lagerfeld sent models swirling around a gigantic light-up globe with interlocking CC logo flags dropped in to the brand's boutiques around the world. Chanel's iconic tweeds turned up in boxy jackets with rounded shoulders over matching miniskirts, while the famous quilted bag got an update with an open-ended handle. Nighttime came in layers of sheer black over chain-laden boots and globe-shaped minaudières. From the folders filled with photos of the collection by Lagerfeld himself to the enormity of the set, there was a precision and an attention to detail that one can only expect of a house like Chanel. If this is Karl's world, then we want to live in it. Click through to see the full Chanel 2013 collection.
Saint Laurent Fall 2013 Runway
Call it Seattle by way of Saint-Germain. The Saint Laurent Fall 2013 took a detour into "California grunge," with creative director Hedi Slimane filling the runway with babydoll dresses, slashed leather leggings, flannel shirts, and embellished buckle boots. The YSL signatures were cleverly woven into the collection — "Le Smoking" was a tough elongated tuxedo jacket over a mini, the iconic fur chubbies turned into voluminous fur jackets draped sexily over dresses, and sparkling fishnets (even on full bodysuits) winked at traditional French dressing. We bet that front-row fans like Jessica Chastain and Kirsten Dunst will be snapping up the perfect leather coats — a sharp double-breasted trench was a standout — and the flat boots that accompanied many of the looks. Did we mention the army of black-leather-mini-clad models that came out at the very end of the show? Cool girls from coast to coast, from continent to continent, will be rocking those come Fall. 2013 Autumn Winter Paris Fashion Week: Jean Paul Gaultier
If Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau is in the building, you know you aren't getting standard-issue hair, and the British stylist did not disappoint at Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn Winter 2013. He chopped inexpensive wigs into mismatched bowl cuts layered over the models' hair for what he referred to as a "kind of boyish, punk" feeling. The makeup matched with bold brows that helped to balance the heavier hairstyles. Click through to see more looks from the show.
Chloé Fall 2013 Runway
The clouds parted for the Chloé Fall 2013 show. With sunlight streaming in through the glass roof of the tent at the Tuileries in Paris, Clare Waight Keller showed a lineup of softly romantic clothes with a sharp tailoring edge, which is precisely what cool girls around the world want from Chloé. The house's famed bags took on a softer feel with slouchy dual-handle duffels and slim shoulder bags, while every look came out with solid-heeled oxfords. The outerwear was a highlight, with narrow-shoulder coats and wearable capes popped over white blouses and A-line skirts. Click through to see the full collection.
Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2013: Punk Rises Again

Isabel Marant Fall 2013 Runway
Isabel Marant is a perennial cool-girl favorite, and her Fall 2013 collection went straight to the heart of rocker-chic. With a heavy-metal lashing of studs on cropped jackets, low-slung wrap skirts, and long skinny scarves, models like Arizona Muse showed off a parade of black, white, cream, and navy. Marant went deep into sexier knitwear this season, focusing on a second-skin shape with cutouts just above the bustline. As for her much-loved shoes, it was all about the wedge boot — ankle-high and knee-high in lush suede and sometimes clad with biker-like straps. Click through to see the full collection.
Roland Mouret Fall 2013 Runway
Roland Mouret cut it extrasharp for Fall 2013, honing his famous tailored dresses to a geometric T. The London-based designer chose an ornate, chandelier-bedecked ballroom as a foil to his mostly black and white collection. It was filled with slim pleated pants with a knee detail that recalled the look of over-the-knee boots, sleek sheath dresses with origami-like folds carefully placed across bodices, and structured bustiers with stiff fabric chokers. Crossbody bags in rich leathers complemented the collection, while colorblocked coats with oversize shoulders appeared in violet and black. Evening was a strictly black and white affair with an emphasis on pants over his star-loved gowns, but we hope he has more like the one open-back stunner he sent down the runway. Click through to see the photos from the collection.
Nina Ricci Fall 2013 Runway
Peter Copping stuck to what he called a "resolutely graphic palette" for the Nina Ricci Fall 2013 show, using predominantly black, white, and crimson red for the feminine collection. With nods to 1950s silhouettes in sleek skirtsuits and sporty motifs like fur-trimmed layers, it was a collection made for a modern Grace Kelly. The presentation itself was also fit for a princess, as the sister duo of Katia and Marielle Labèque played at nested Steinway grand pianos placed in the middle of the gleaming red runway. Click through to see the full collection.
Carven Fall 2013 Runway
Carven Fall 2013 was shown against a backdrop of vintage car taillights, and the motif reappeared on the closing looks of the show. Guillaume Henry went for colors normally associated with Spring for much of the show, with voluminous coats with oversize rounded shoulders and mod bouclé skirtsuits in shades of robin's-egg blue and cotton-candy pink. Heavy rubber-soled Mary Janes grounded the looks while ruched ladylike bags played off the tonal zebra prints. Get revved up and click through to see the best of the show inside.

Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 Runway
Marc Jacobs has come to be known as the ultimate showman in NYC fashion, and Fall 2013 upheld his reputation to a T. The capacity crowd entered to a glowing yellow orb at the end of the circular runway — notable for providing sepia light that rendered the chic showgoers in sepia-tinged black and white (so much for those wild colors for the street-style photographers!). The models did a full, brisk lap around the runway to start the show, all under the sepia light. After the last model exited the runway, the lighting shifted and the models came back out to be seen for the lovely, soft color palette that Jacobs picked for the season — soft moss green, pale mauve, camel, greiges. The line was filled with the very wearable — cable-knit sweaters, double-breasted coats, shirtdresses — to the very unwearable — see the model in just hot pants and gloves. Evening was particularly strong with bias-cut gowns with open backs mixed in with liquid metallic gowns that are begging to be flown out to Hollywood to the Oscars. The designer, clad in pajamas for his finale walk, created a thrilling presentation and a collection that we'll be thrilled to see in stores.
