One time a close co-worker at a previous job sat down at the long table for our Monday meeting, got out her notepad, and proceeded to go into hysterics. When the boss came into the room and noticed she was visibly upset, he said something kind like, "Can I help?" to which she screamed "No! It's this place!" and left the room. Later that day she quit. It's a story we told for years afterward whenever new employees complained about meetings or projects, and though there were other freakouts, none rivaled that day.
Work- and career-induced stress is unavoidable. There will always be deadlines, projects, presentations, and pushy bosses. Of course, the weight of those demands can, at times, feel immeasurable. Have you ever lost your cool work demeanor in a meeting and had to leave?

DAY Birger et Mikkelsen
This reminds me of the that Twilight Zone Episode called "Willoughby" where the guy one day snaps at his really mean boss and tells him :shut up fat-boy!" before running out.
I myself have never freaked out during a meeting, because I know if I did that would be it. Fired. Game Over.
1i have never but i've had a coworker stand over the desk and scream STOP at some guy who would stop talking and interrupting
she then realized her outburst, said sorry, sat down, and tried to rationally explain herself
2Of course not -- completely unprofessional. If you feel any upsets coming on, go take a quick bathroom break or something to breathe. Hysterics don't just come out of nowhere (at least not for me).
3I've never done this...I think I'd be a little scared and creeped-out if someone ever did this at work. I think I'd avoid that person in the break room after that!
4when i was`working as a campaign fundraiser i once told a congressman (not the`one`who's campaign i was`working on, an advisor) that he knew nothing about fund raising and that he`should stick to his beverly hillbilly's gig in the house
he threw a hissy fit and had to leave.
after that he stuck to being a dick to me on the phone, where no one else could hear. think i prefer the meeting where at least people can see that the other person is a psychotic *sshole.
