With Spring finally here, there are a couple of things I'm looking forward to this season. Thanks to Fab, I'm getting a look at all the beautiful Spring clothes, and keep adding the season's new items to my wish list. On top of that, this season is all about getting back outdoors, and I'm looking forward to more time with friends, like grabbing drinks and dinner at a nice spot outside.
Still, what I want and what I need to spend on, as we know well, are two very different things. And when it comes down to setting and sticking to a budget, expenses on clothing and dining out are purely discretionary, not necessary. So, this week, with several new clothing purchases, I'm content to whip up some easy meals at home, to keep from going over budget. While I'd much prefer dinner out over something I've crafted in my own kitchen, my new shoes are totally worth it. When it comes down to it, splurging on new clothing can win out over a couple nice meals out. What about you? If you had to pick where to spend, would it be on great food or nice clothes?

I voted: Clothes — I'd much rather have great clothes and eat at home more often.
But let me specify!
The whole eating-out culture of America isn't appealing to me, sure it is lovely to go out with good company and dine at a spectacular restaurant, I do do this.
But to me what is most important is fresh good organic food, that is good for my body and soul, I love cooking for family and friends and having them over, for hours of tabling and discussion.
I voted what I voted because eating healthy non-prepackaged foods does not have to be expensive, and what's left, goes to beautiful clothes!
Quality in food and clothing all the way
1i'm a foodie over clothes...but i agree w/ cipriana...i don't like eating-out frequently...so i typically spend $$ on traveling instead...but i do treat myself to somewhere nice every now and then
2a tough one, because I like have fun and new clothing to wear when I go out with friends... which always involves if not centers around food!
3Good clothes, hands down.
As far as food, I always prefer my own cooking. I'm a picky eater.

Look, clothes might feed a girl's ego (i.e. makes her look & feel great) when among other girls, setting trends in fashion, etc. One can live without clothes - Food, on the other hand, is necessary for everybody's survival, & if it's great food... No contest.
You can spend money on good food and still eat at home... I prefer my own cooking most of the time, but I still spend extra for the "good" stuff (ie as much local, organic, fresh food as possible). I go for cheaper clothes as habit because I'm not in a position to spend much on luxuries, but higher quality, healthier food feels more like an investment in myself than a frivolous expense.
7I prefer to spend money on good food that I cook at home. Clothes, I can take them or leave them for the most part.
8Spend more money on good food and less money at a consignment shop for good clothes.
9I would much rather spend money on the experience of being with friends, which often means dining out. I look at clothes and think, "If I buy this shirt, I'll have to use my Tuesday night happy hour money. Do I really want to miss that?"
10I have no budget for clothes, so I guess I have to pick food.
11I said clothes.. because well, I'd rather look nice than eat and then not fit into any clothes! lol That sounds like such an unhealthy view.. but if we're speaking strictly eating out, I'd rather have a great day shopping with some friends and then go home and cook some homemade food with my honey, best of both worlds if you ask me.
12My cousin recommended this blog and she was totally right keep up the fantastic work!
