Happy annual Employee Appreciation Day! Today is the holiday for employers to celebrate the value of their employees.

This holiday comes at an unfortunate time — it seems there is currently a lot of dissatisfaction in the workplace. A recent MarketTools Inc. survey found that 50 percent of employees are thinking about quitting their jobs and 21 percent have applied for jobs in the last six months. Employee appreciation is a huge factor in the success of the company, as well as retention and employee happiness. I want to hear from you — do you feel appreciated as an employee?
