"I make enough where I can take care of my entire family. That was my real dream — work hard enough so that my mom didn’t have to work. My mom came to this country when she was a teenager. She didn’t speak English, she didn’t have any money, and she worked so hard to provide a substantial life for my brother and I.
It was tough growing up because we didn’t have a lot of money but we still made it work. In a way, it brought my family together. So I didn’t want to see my mom overwork herself and stress about money. It wasn’t until I started to make money, because of the YouTube Partner’s program and all these sponsorships, that I called her at work and said, 'You know Mom, after today, you don’t have to work anymore.' She was crying and it was the best feeling I’ve ever felt.
Sadly, she still works two days a week instead of seven, but the money she makes she donates to charity; she’s such a good person. She feels like she needs to contribute something to society so she feels like she needs to work at least two days a week. But it’s just been a blessing."
