Your Two Cents: When Did You File Your Taxes?

Judging from the lines at the post office the last couple of days, and stories about friends not being able to attend previous engagements because they had to file taxes, I'd say there's more than a handful of taxpayers who waited until the 11th hour to file their tax return. I wasn't last minute with my return, but I also wasn't an early bird who filed her taxes in January. What about you?

Filed in early February. Uncle Sam took too much of my money and I wanted it back as soon as I could get it.

I didn't even get our taxes back from the accountant until april 12! So I was standing in line with everyone else on April 14 to send in the paper work and of course the fat check we owed! grrrr

Months ago, as soon as I got my W-2's from work. :) Would've given them to my bf to do, since he used to work for the IRA, but eh, I'm a big girl, I can do them myself :)

I completed my taxes about a month ago because I had to send in my tax return for law school stuff, but I didn't end up filing the return until last week.

April 11... woot woot. Filed through TurboTax. The only reason I waited is because i had to pay but I didn't.

yesterday, because we owed a lot and it took some doing to get it together. this was a bad year tax wise. we have already made some changes to prevent this from ever happening again.

My boyfriend did ours as soon as he got the forms. He loves tax season thanks to my charitable heart. ;)

I put mine in the mail on March 31st. The deadline I put into my brain is to be done by April 1st so I just made it. :)

Every year I vow to get them done as soon as I have my W-2 and everything, and every year I still don't manage to get them done until April. This year was no exception! I did them on the 7th and it only took, like, half an hour. I really don't know why I always put it off so long.

I e-filed on April 14th. I don't know why I waited so long, they only took me about an hour on turbotax.com and we're getting a nice chunk of change back (which we expected, so again, don't know why I waited to long!).

I filed back in February or March, but didn't actually pay until this past weekend. Oh, it hurt my bank account big time.

I did my taxes online at the beginning of March but didn't e-file them til the beginning of April because I wanted to make sure I didn't get any more statements (the mutual fund guys are soooo slow) and b/c I had to pay a pretty hefty amount so wanted to wait til I saved up a bit.

aw fashionhore thats a cute way to get them done and still have some fun. uhm, my taxes were done months ago because my dad still does them for me. He is an accountant and he once told me he will do my taxes as long as I want him to. Good thing, cause I am clueless when it comes to that kind of stuff. :)
