This might sound weird but... hit up the lobby of local tourist sites and hotels and pick up some brochures for sites around your location. A lot of those free pamphlets have little coupons in them that are often good for a small (up to 4 or 5) group of people. Use this as an opportunity to get out with a date or a couple of friends and see the tourist sites around your hometown that you've never actually been to - and save a couple of bucks doing it. :)
