Résumés are more than just a simple document listing out your past work history — they are the first impression a recruiter has of you, showing off your personality, skills, and professionalism. If you want your résumé to stand out from the stack, then you have to really make it shine. Thankfully, you don't have to be a graphic designer to create a visually appealing and informational résumé. There are plenty of templates available online, just waiting for you to download and customize.

Many of these résumé templates are free and can be edited with your information (and sometimes photo!), then downloaded as a PDF. (And yes, that is a cardinal rule of sending out a résumé: always make sure it's a PDF.) Other templates will walk you through what to include, but they require a monthly subscription fee to download. In the slides ahead, we've compiled some of our favorite résumé templates for you to download. All of them are so much more aesthetically pleasing than the average fresh-out-of-college résumé, and they can easily be adapted to your individual needs. These résumé templates are so cute, you'll want to make a new résumé even if you aren't job hunting right now. And hey, you never know when you might need one.
