Reader Asks: Any Tips For Staying Sane on a Long Plane Ride?
Reader onlysourcherry posted a question in our SavvySugar community group. She asks, "I have a seriously long flight coming up: 14 hours! I'd love your suggestions to keep from going crazy." A long flight can be a drag, but I'm one of those weird people who actually enjoy long plane rides (yes, we do exist!).
My plane rides usually involve a lot of reading, whether it be newspapers, magazines, or that hot new romance novel or thriller that I just got my hands on. I usually like to keep my reading very light on the plane, because I see plane rides as sort of a brain vacation. You're up in the air and far away from the real world, so look at it as an exciting escape! I would also write in my diary, something I don't have the luxury of doing when I'm facing the daily grind of work. Oh, and I also sleep. A lot.
I have plenty more to add, but I'd like to hear from you readers — what do you do to stay sane on long plane rides?
