Televisions are far from necessities, but the tube may be getting more use these days as people are spending more time at home. If a new TV has been on your wish-list and you've been saving up for the expense, March may be the prime time for you to make your purchase. In its March issue, Real Simple got the scoop from Greg Tarr, executive editor of This Week in Consumer Electronics, who said you could save up to 15 percent on the cost of a TV from last year's line.
He explained, "New models are introduced at the International Consumer Electronics Show each January. Retailers clear out old inventory to make way for the latest items, which ship in March." If you can believe it, March kicks off on Sunday, so start checking the deals at your local electronics stores to find the best buys.

Good to know!
1I actually have been thinking of getting a new tv for a while now! Thanks for the tip.
2Great tip!
3Savvy (or anyone else who might know), does the same tip apply to other electronics? I'm also in the market for a new computer right now.
4Hmm, I just recently just bought a new one. Oh well.
5that's an interesting thing to think about. i don't think that i realized that march was a big time for new models to debut but i guess that it makes sense.
6We just bought a new TV to replace our old set that died. I think we actually got a pretty great deal on ours because when we went to Sears to get the set we wanted, they had no more in stock. I negotiated with the sales clerk and asked if we could buy the floor model. They said we could, so we ended up saving about $100 on it.
7Cool site, i will come back here, regards
