Get creative with your wrapping this year and use materials you have around the home. Kraft paper, in particular, is great to experiment with, because it pretty much goes with everything.
1. White and aluminum snowflakes
What you need:
- Kraft paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- Snowflake crafts punch
- White paper
- Aluminum foil
- Twine
- Glue
Instructions:
- Wrap the present up in brown kraft paper. You'll be using scissors and tape for this step. Here's an easy tutorial [1] on how to wrap a present.
- Punch out shapes with a snowflake crafts punch [2] ($11). Use regular white office paper for white snowflake and use aluminum foil if you'd like some shine. Be careful with the aluminum foil because it can be very fragile — you might have to punch out a couple more than you need in case the ones you're using tear.
- Wrap twine around the gift a few times. You can wrap it in a cross or just vertically like I did.
- Glue the snowflakes all around the gift and even on the twine.
2. Squiggly hole punch stickers
What you need:
- Kraft paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- White hole punch reinforcement stickers
Instructions:
- Wrap the present up in brown kraft paper. You'll be using scissors and tape for this step. Here's an easy tutorial [3] on how to wrap a present.
- Peel off the hole punch stickers and stick them onto the paper in squiggly lines. I find that it looks more chic to have some spacing between the lines. And it looks better when the lines are curved instead of just straight lines.
3. Neon pink sticky note polka dots
What you need:
- Kraft paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- Circle craft punch
- Sticky notes
- Glue
Instructions:
- Wrap the present up in brown kraft paper. You'll be using scissors and tape for this step. Here's an easy tutorial [4] on how to wrap a present.
- Punch out shapes with a circle crafts punch [5] ($7). Mine punches out 1 1/4-inch circles, but one-inch circles should do as well. I punched holes out of neon pink sticky notes, though you can experiment with different colors.
- Glue the punched-out shapes all over the package.
