What Is Your Biggest Work Perk?

Americans are pretty happy with their jobs, but their top three complaints are on-the-job stress, salary, and their company's retirement plan for employees, a recent poll by Gallup found. The study also found that the parts the workers like about their job include workplace safety conditions and co-worker relations.

I'm wondering — what are you the most satisfied with in your job?

i love my co-workers! not only that, but our hours are 8:30-5 however, they are flexible and I work from 7:30 to 4 (I'm quite the early bird) we also can work from home. We only get 3 sick days per year and with my IBS I do a lot of working from home and I get so much more done!

Well first and foremost the best thing about my job is the fact that I have one. That I was presented with this opportunity right when we needed it and when so many others are really struggling to find jobs, I'm very grateful. That aside, my best perk is the flexibility of my hours. Because I'm a wife and mother first, it was very important to find a job that allowed me to work only the hours that our children are in school. Then this opportunity was offered to us and we couldn't refuse it.

I chose flexibility of hours. The company is open from 6 am to 11 pm, so I can work any hours within that time. I usually work 2-10 or 3-11 because I prefer 2nd shift. I also love some (but not all) of my co-workers. We love to talk about our animals while we're on break. Another thing I like is being able to miss a lot of time without consequence (sick and vacation).

Massive amounts of vacation time, on-site gym (and a really nice trail system behind the office), not being micromanaged, and the fact that it's all for a good cause.

All the above does apply, but in the end if you hate the people you work with you will eventually dread get up every morning. I love my co-workers and never have enjoyed my job mroe then now! The benefits aren't TERRIFIC but I have fun and enjoy my time @ work :)

Casual dress code! I hate dressing up so wearing jeans every day makes me a very happy employee! :)

It's definitely not the people! I would say flexibility of hours. I can start and leave whenever I want (within reason) and a vacation request, family leave, personal day, sick leave, or any kind of time off would never be denied (including my right to take unpaid leave, or compress hours etc.). I appreciate that.

My firm has a very flexible vacation policy. In my contract, I believe it states that I have 14 days of total vacation. However, I usually take 2 two-week vacations per year. I definitely need the days off to recharge.

The fact that I can work there and feel more comfortable than I have felt at any other place I have been. (Which is huge for me since I suffer with social phobia, which makes it realllly hard for me!) Part of this might be because it is only about nine hours a week.

I really love my coworkers. I work with my aunt, two of my cousins and a girl I've known for 6 years. All my other coworkers are also very nice and funny.

I love my coworkers! I never felt like I belonged some place so much before. I have more friends at work than I did in elementary, middle, high school and college combined.
