Want to know a secret? I love baths. If I have time, I sneak one into every day. My friends and family make fun of me because I like to end every night with a relaxing soak. I can't imagine a more luxurious and budget-friendly escape. Sure, water, organic bubble bath, and the occasional glass of wine aren't free, but the time in the tub allows me to reflect on the day and relax and always lifts my spirit. What's your go-to thrifty pastime or pleasure?

I like to turn off the lights, lay down on my sofa and play a George Michael cd as loud as my neighbours will accept it. His voice just fills up the room and its so soothing that it immediately relaxes me. I tried to do this every night and I realize that it helps me sleep a lot better than watching tv before bed.

2my gas fireplace
3i don't know how inexpensive it is...our gas bill is a lot, but i'm not sure how it would change if i didnt' use the fireplace for a whole month, so i consider it inexpensive and totally worth it
A good book, a blanket, and a cup of English tea with lots of milk.
4A long walk or run, a DVR full of guilty pleasure shows and everything Deirdre mentioned!
5magazine reading at Barnes and Noble or painting my nails while watching sex and the city re-runs!

8Arghh.. a bath a day isn't very green. I couldn't do that.
I would have to say my favorite inexpensive pleasure is getting books from the library and reading in bed.
9I'm the queen of inexpensive pleasures...I know how to have fun on the cheap! My favorite things are: enjoying a nice cup of fresh ground coffee while I read books that I get from the library, sitting around and painting my nails while I watch Oprah or Dr. Phil, and shopping at thrift stores/dollar stores to find cool bargains.
10reading a book while cuddling in a blanket, painting my nails while watching a one of my guilty pleasure shows, or spending a cozy night on the couch watching netflix with my husband and our kitties. i really cherish my downtime, and i don't need to spend money to enjoy or relax!
