I'm Asking: Where Would You Be Without Craigslist?

When I look back on how big a role Craigslist has played in my life, it makes me ask, where would I be without it? Internships, jobs, apartments, bargain furniture . . . I credit the website with finding many of these. How has Craigslist helped your career and life in general?

Craig's List has been an awesome resource for me. I have found jobs that lead to rewarding careers. Participated in focus groups and research studies that offered cash incentives and compensation. Found a buyer and sold my house. Located a certified mechanic that did excellent work.....saving time and money. Sold/purchased furniture and electronics very quickly. Picked up some FREE items along the way. When you want results and bargains...its a one stop resource.

I've looked for many things, usually apartments, but for some reason always end up finding them elsewhere (I may have found one on CL). I found the desk I am sitting at now that I love (but am moving soon and worry it won't make the move!!) But most importantly when I started law school I found a family in the new city I was in to babysit for...four years later they are a huge part of my life (even though I left that city after one year). When we were in Turks and Caicos this year we laughed and said "how did we meet again" and remembered it was in fact Craigslist! My life would in fact be a lot different without them! :)

I've found my last three apartments. I found my boyfriend of three years. I've sold my car. I bought a Wii. Craigslist is awesome!

I wouldn't be sitting in this very apartment - which would be a shame. I also wouldn't have the job I have! :)

We love it! Mostly, we use it to sell off stuff my husband gets at his auctions, but we also look on there for vehicles (we're looking to buy another one soon) and we got a computer off of there for $50. It's a lot better than eBay in many respects.

Bought and sold 4 cars, found my dream job, sold countless items of furniture and appliances, found recreational activities (tennis partner, multiple basketball leagues), rescued a cat, found a husband!

oddly enough, i found my current live-in boyfriend of almost 4 years on craigslist. call it random!

I found my new apartment (that I'm moving into this week!) on Craigslist.

I found an apartment this year. I found a babysitting job in 2004. I found job interviews throughout the years.

The only time I remember using craigslist was to find some fill dirt for some raised beds that a friend of mine built for me. So...I guess I would be without dirt! :)

Craigslist has been very helpful for me! I've found an apartment on it, as well as some furniture. I've also sold furniture and other miscellaneous items.
