With Black Friday sales just within reach, I'll admit my shopping list of must haves is growing by the day. I love to keep an ongoing list of all the items I'm craving, but have to remind myself that I can't shop for all of them at once. So, in order to ensure that I don't go overboard this year, I'm setting a "cannot-go-over" budget, and vowing not to spend a dime more than I've promised. It's obviously tempting to blow all of my cash, but I'm planning to spend a lot smarter with my new budget in place. So tell me, are you relying on a strict spending limit to keep spending in check? What's your Black Friday budget?

1Sadly, less than $100. After being laid off for 5 months and then only finding a PT job - things are tough. I've been spending alot of my time making friends photobooks on the internet (using all the great deals and getting alot of them for free). It's a nice gift that means something but doesn't cost alot.
I hope next Christmas will be different.
2zero, I'm staying out of the stores this weekend. I can't deal with the crowds.
3I'm not going shopping. My family has agreed it's been a tough year for everyone and instead of gifts we're sending cards & pictures. Was I ever relieved with that agreement!
4$0. We agreed to have a "no presents" Christmas this year, so I'm just making homemade food gifts for my relatives and enjoy the family time.
