Spending money unnecessarily is habit-forming, and a good way to break the cycle is to challenge yourself to no-spend days. Most of you admit that shopping makes you feel good after a bad day, but you can also gain satisfaction from successfully living up to a challenge like not spending for one day. It requires advance planning like picking your groceries, filling up the tank and paying the bills the day before, but it is doable. Are you able to keep your wallet in your purse — or even at home — on select days or is dishing out money unavoidable?

Nope.
1I definitely plan to start.
2I would say that I have no spend days about 2-3 days a week, on average- maybe more. We normally only grocery shop one day per week (on the weekend), I get gas 1-2 times per week (one ususally the same day that I grocery shop), and really only spend other than that on the weekends. I could easily not spend 3 days per week.
3Being unemployed I have lots of no spend days. Since being laid off I'm tracking all my expenses. I typically have 5 no spend days a week. I go home instead of eating out. Coffee shops are for meetings only, not drinking coffee. And the latest fashions will have to wait until next season. I actually don't miss spending and I am getting good at it. It is now a challenge to see how long I can go and how little I can spend.
4I have no-spend days every so often...usually 2 times a week or so. It depends on my schedule and if I need things unexpectedly.
5I usually go 1-3 days a week without spending any money, but I havent' been as of late. I really should start doing that again.
6I usually have 5-6 no-spend days a week. Sometimes I'll go over that. But I am a stay at home Mom and we only have one vehicle right now and the Husband works the afternoon/evening shift. I think it's circumstance that makes me not spend, not willpower. But hopefully it will turn into a habit when we do get a second vehicle, this next weekend.
7I usually have about 5-6 no spend days a week. I try to spend only on necessities at the moment...gas, food, and bills.
