Broken glass is the WORST. Instead of brushing glass shards all over the place or sucking up bits that might puncture your vacuum bag, reach for something you probably have in your pantry — a slice of bread.

Carefully press the bread slice over the glass. The spongy bread picks up the big and supersmall bits of broken glass, clearing the area safely. Instead of tossing it in your trash, deposit the glass-filled bread slice in the recycling so the broken glass doesn't cause any harm.
