Follow These Tips to Clean Your French Press With Ease

If you love your french press, show it you really care by giving it a quick cleaning. The process only takes a few minutes with stunning results. Along with being squeaky clean, your coffee will taste so good when made with a sparkling french press. And this eco clean uses natural ingredients you already have in your kitchen.

  1. Start by dumping any remaining coffee left in the press and tossing the coffee grounds in your compost — or give them new life with one of these smart ways to use coffee grounds. Give the french press a rinse with warm water.
  1. Fill the french press halfway with plain white distilled vinegar and top off with boiling water. The vinegar naturally breaks up coffee stains while offering antibacterial cleaning power.
  1. Place the top on the french press and press, just like you're making coffee. Let the water and vinegar steam for 10 minutes.
  1. Pour out the water mixture, and gently wash the french press with your favorite dish soap. Once dry, stand back and admire the shine.
