How to Ask For Vacation Days

If your boss denies your request, figure out what you're willing to trade in order to get PTO. Are you willing to take unpaid days off? Do you want to forgo part of your raise this year to get more vacation days? Perhaps you can offer to work partially while you're vacationing. Try to work with your employer to figure out a Plan B.
