I'm Asking: What's Your Main Goal For May?

It's May Day, which means we're all hoping for pretty flowers and a lazy glide into Summer. With tax season in the distant past, it's time to start thinking about Summer and the projects, productivity, and vacations that lie ahead.

I plan on paying off my car insurance for the rest of the year, calendering a mini August weekend away with my sweetie, and encouraging fellow bridesmaids to finalize plans for the low-key bachelorette weekend we are organizing for the Fall.

Whoops! By "Thank Yous" I meant "Thank You cards" from my wedding. I'm trying to make them my #1 priority before I get anything else done!

I have a list of items to go through that may be sellable and/or donateable. Most of the items I intend to sell I already have photos of, so once I've gotten off my butt and done all of my Thank Yous, they're all going up on Amazon. It'll be a tiny profit, but it'll be worth making the space. I've also scheduled myself to sit down with all of my makeup to toss what I don't need and refresh (clean, sharpen, etc.) makeup and tools I want to keep to make them last longer. Once I've done my Spring Cleaning, I'm hoping to sit down with my supplies and get back to making Jewelry - I'm hoping to make enough to start selling pieces on Etsy by the month's end and to open shop in April. :)

I've been giving myself new challenges for each month this year (it's my 2010 resolution). My May challenge is to go the whole month without buying any extras for myself. Meaning I will buy food of course, but no clothes, accessories, shoes, household items, AT ALL. This is going to be tough but I'm hoping it will show me how much I waste on items I do not actually need. Plus, I'll have some extra savings by the end of the month.

Finish a huge project at work (and impress my boss!), but keep up my workouts and spend more time with my new boyfriend.

Survive the oh-so-busy month!!!! Finish the school year off with a 4.0. Stay fit, work out at least 4 times a week, eat healthy everyday. Enjoy the last month of my freshman year of college!!!!

Avoid the boy without becoming bitter Stick to my new budget! I spent way too much money in April (but I'm blaming the aforementioned boy for that) Have a good appraisal! My boss gave me some actual research to do for the first time in two years at that job, so I want to encourage him to give me more interesting things to do (and show him I can do it) Make the most out of my unpaid freelance job Bike to work! I just bought a bike that's actually my size And the two tricky bits: find a flat and ask two friends who owe me money to pay me back. :( I'm terrible at those, I always feel guilty asking them and end up never doing it.

For the month of May, I'm focused on landscape designing. There are several stages involved. Right now, I'm focused on installing wall planters. In the meantime, garden statues and dwarf trees are in transit. There are other critical details involved. It's a big project.

My goals are to live through finals week, live through the move back home, find a job and internship, get my wisdom teeth pulled...wow, my May really sucks, haha! Hopefully I can plan some mini-vacations throughout the summer with old friends to make up for it :-)
