Are You Smarter Than a 12th Grader?

The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy tests 12th graders' money knowledge every couple years, and the average score is typically about 52 percent. US News & World Report shared some sample questions from the last survey done in 2006 and I've reproduced them here for you to test your knowledge — are you smarter than a 12th grader?

hmmm... statistically the last question might be "stocks," but it seems to me and everyone i know, that the stocks invested in their children's education for 18 years never ever paid up. (myself included...)

I was in 12th grade last year and they didn't teach me ANY of this. But I got half right!

Yeah, my opinion is since when did they start teaching this in school? I think they should but they tend to leave out the important everyday successful life strategies in school.

i have never been taught any of this esp not in school, i don't know that i agree with the stock question, my grandmother put money into the market for me since i was born for college and at one point i would have come out really good but by the time i went to college (a few years ago) it was slightly better than comming out even
