Ahh, college. Even if trips weren't out of the country, the respite from classes was always welcomed in some special fashion. If you still get the time off (or are thinking of taking a trip during this month anyway), the week of March 22 is the priciest choice between now and early April, so watch out for that one, and remember the midweek-to-midweek savings!
For the season in general, data collected by Bing and Travelocity found airfares up nine percent from last year but hotel averages down three. Factor in the pricey activities and crowds and it may still push you, and your budget, over the edge. Do you use the coming of warm weather to bring out the bathing suits and grab a beer . . . or is that time in your life only a fond memory?

Fond memories...
1Through out high school and college, I only took ONE spring break - college senior year. We went to DISNEY! and it was a-mazing.
2I've never had the pleasure of taking a Spring Break.
3Ugh, I WISH! I could so use a few days away right now...
4No, I always worked during my breaks in order to pay for books, rent etc. I've been working since I was 12 in and am now in my mid-thirties and try to take as many vacations now as I can to make up for it!
5I would love to take a spring break this year but not in the cards. Even when I was in school, I still had to work during the school breaks.
6During college, I worked during spring break to get extra money for tuition, so I never really got to do the whole "Spring Break" thing like everyone else. This year, my husband and I are going to Riviera Maya in Mexico for a REAL spring break and we are PSYCHED!!
7Same here -- during college, I worked full-time to pay for my tuition. I put myself through college (and it was a pricey, private, prestigious University in the area).
Even though my personal financial situation has changed, hubbie and I don't take vacations. We love our life, and we have no need to take a break from it. In fact, we find traveling stressful, and we miss our normal life.
8My husband and I both work in education, so we get some time off every winter and every spring. We usually try to go somewhere warm and sunny during at least one of those breaks.
9No wonder I can't get plane tickets for a reasonable price at the end of March! I forgot about Spring Break.
10Since I work in Higher Ed, I can technically take some days during Spring Break!
