Your Two Cents: Do You Feel Overworked?

Whether you consider yourself to be an alpha female or not, most of us expect a lot from ourselves. When we're performing at our maximum capacity we push ourselves to go one step further, and complete one more task before the day is over even if it could be done the next day. Does your daily grind make you feel overworked?

i think that sometimes i am over worked seeing as how until the past couple weeks i haven't gotten home from work until almost 9pm (or 8 on a good day) and i get in around 8 - but i don't know - it's the nature of the busienss at times...and it can get frustrating. i keep it in my mind that it's all going to get easier - so i don't mind the over-worked aspect all the time.

I am also overworked at work and outside of work. I have a lot of things I am trying to do outside of work to be better at my job. I am starting a certificate program to compliment my degrees, I wan to buy a condo, and I really want to be successful and make a contribution to my employer. I am also trying to balance having a social life, with work and my other goals so that I won't be burnt out. I wish all the ladies here, success in all they do!

i work in emergency medical services and considering there's NEVER enough people to fill the schedule (whether it be for the ambulance or dispatch), not only am i doing two people's jobs to begin with, i work no less than 50 hours a week. the kicker is that it is a VERY high stress level job (dealing with life and death, 24/7). i love what i do but this week, for example, i'm pulling 67 hours! and my work cannot be finished the next day, either. on top of that, i'm registered full-time at school (to receive my degree for fire investigation/fire protection)...it is A LOT of work. my family doesn't understand my drive...but sometimes you just have to make sacrifices to acheive what you want.

I said yes, but it's merely because of when the question is being asked. We're in our busy season (HURRY UP, April 15!!!), so we are all overworked. Weekends, nights at home, early mornings, but we have to or the work would never get done. At least the OT pay is a great motivator!!

i do sales so i pretty much can do what i want during the day as long as i do meet my goals. so i can balance my schedule accordingly.

I think I have a good balance... it only gets really crazy when there's an upcoming conference or other big project!

I'm overworked and micromanaged and I hate it. Unfortunately, it's the nature of the job.

I am overworked at work and outside of work. I have goals (i.e. buying a condo,entering grad school, being successful in my career, etc.) that I am trying to achieve. I also want to lose weight, have an active social life and save the world. I need a vacation!

I'm under-worked here at my job for now but eventually we will get busier. Plus I go to school full-time so that's where I feel like I'm over-worked. :P

Most days I do!My work seems to be getting busier and busier!I have an odd day when I really have nothing to do but Sugar, but it seems to be less frequent!

I actually need to be over worked, because when I am not given a deadline I dawdle all day with nothing. When I have a deadline and pressure my day flies and I never go online...unlike right now!
