I'm suppose to graduate next fall but I know I wont. I will probably take 5 years to graduate IF I don't change my major again or try to re-take any classes that I did bad in.

It will take me 5 years. I was thrown off track. Freshman year, I changed my major like 3 times and wasted credits and time and then that summer my mom died, so I took off a semester... and decided that I wanted to do nursing. So I'm set back a year.

wow ... i feel dumb for taking 7 years to get out of community college and then 2 at a real university. to make it worse, i had a good deal of AP credits going in so i was expected to graduate in just 3 years. that didn't happen :(

4 1/2-5 years.. i started college in NY and transferred. transfer credits throw you off because a lot of classes don't transfer. that's the only reason i'm not finishing in 4 years. and yes, a lot of people don't finish in 4 years. things happen.

I went to a 5-year program that allows for three semester breaks for full time paid internships. Totally worth it because it was still only 4 years of tuition, plus I graduated with a ton of real world work experience!

Will take me 5 years. I will graduate in 2011 because I co-oped for two semesters. I'm so glad I did! I got experience and I don't have to graduate in this crappy job market. Hopefully things will turn around by 2011

I graduated in four years. I, too, came in with a ton of AP credits, so I was able to have three majors and a minor.

It took me six long years. I changed my major, took twice the required honors courses and I was on a music scholarship that ate up a third of my hours each semester. I'm amazed I even finished!

4 years. I only took one class during the fall semester of my senior year though (mainly so I could stay on the dance team, I didn't need that class). I worked full time during that semester. I could have graduated in 3.5 semesters, but all the classes I needed for my majors were offered second semester (I didn't take the the spring semester of my junior year b/c I studied abroad). My college was so small that classes are only taught once a year.

4 years and I'm glad it wasn't any more or any less - though I was thankful for the 6 months I did abroad.

Technically, I know it was more than four because I graduated from college ten years after I got my high school diploma, however I'm not sure of the total years as I went on and off. Some of those years were part time as well.

4 years exactly! I took a summer internship and a winter course, so my last semester was a breeze!

Ah! this is my biggest grammatical pet peeve. No one "graduates college" in four years... the college graduates YOU in four years. The title of this article should read, "did you graduate FROM college in four years."

With AP courses all through HS, and a few other courses in middle school (I went to 2 classes per day from 7-8 grade) I managed to get out in 2 with a BA. Awesome stuff. I don't regret not staying the whole 4 years. I mean, I didn't have to, and I like where I am now.

Happsmjc--It took me 4 years as opposed to 3 because I double-majored in two totally different areas (Spanish and biochemistry). I had enough credits to actually graduate when I had finished 3 years, but I wanted the double major. Most of my earned credits were for Spanish...I came into school with 23 Spanish credits.

3.25 years. Never took a break during the summer and loaded up even then, also had a few AP credits. I should've slowed things down to concentrate on boosting my GPA but I just wanted to be done with it.
