Six Flag costs an arm and a leg now. No one wants to spend the gas (90+ miles one way from my house), parking ($15-$25), Adult admission ($54.99), Child Admission ($34.99 unless they are over 4 ft.), and food inside the park ($??). Anyone bringing more than a couple kids is looking at well over a hundred dollars and for what? Standing in line for hours in the hot sun for a 3 to 5 minute ride and then doing it over again. I could see a lot of people wanting to spend their time and money on something else.
1i saw this on the WSJ and thought that it was a great idea. granted i'm a bit of a work a holic not even meaning professional work but even personal stuff.
the downside that i can think of is that there are a lot of flights that i take that i consider my time to be 'uninterrupted' and knowing that i could work would ruin the peace of mind. oh well. we'll see how this affects things. luckily, i'm partial to another airline anyway.
2For a fee? Gee, how did i see this coming? Id actually opt not to pay for it. Chances are, you end up waiting for a plane longer then you spend time on one. So why pay when you can get it for free?
3Also, don't forget about those delays, for which they don't apologize.
