Most of you know all too well that college tuition bills can be outrageous and require hefty loans, and as new grads it can be tough to figure out a way to manage the payments each month. A couple of weeks ago I told you about Luke, a recent college grad who's selling ad space on his website, and the money earned from companies purchasing the space goes towards paying off his student loans. He already has sponsors lined up for March and May.
While it's a different concept and less of an entrepreneurial endeavor than the ad-sponsorship concept, another college grad, Liz Huffman, has come up with her own solution of auctioning her loan payments on eBay. Her current situation sounds just like Scarlett Johansson's character's life in The Nanny — she graduated with a degree in anthropology and is currently working as a nanny, though her dream is to work in a zoo communicating with primates via sign language.
So far, Liz has received a $50 bid from a woman in California and said, “I think $50 is all I’m going to get.â€

Do people honestly think that they are going to land their perfect job out of college? It does happen, but if it doesn't you have to work your way up. There is a security job at the Indianapolis Zoo that she can get and start up from there. I'm sure it pays better then being a nanny.
1I wouldnt give her a penny, did she think that she would leave college and step out into some dream job? and now that she "actually" has to take responsibility and pay her loans she is asking others to do it for her? boo hoo sister, now pay yo sh*t.
2As an IU grad (who also graduated with $30,000+ in loans), this makes me sad. Why on earth would you think someone would pay your loans for you without getting something in return?
It sucks that college costs so much and it sucks that we're stuck paying it off, but it's not impossible to do. If you truly can't afford your loans right now, you can defer or lower your payments.
Otherwise, spend your time looking for a better job instead of coming up with ideas to get money for nothing.

4that's hysterical. i think that people are becoming really creative with how they pay off things. for myself - i HATE the notion that i'm still paying off loans and the sort and if i could figure out a way to get some weight lifted...then i would probably do the same thing.
5aw you guys are harsh, i think this was probably more of a joke on her part!!! i kinda doubt she really thought she'd get any money. totally sounds like something i'd do after a few glasses of wine lol.
