Dreams are supposed to offer an escape from reality and transport us to far away lands, but sometimes the realities of the day catch up with us at night. I have woken up from vivid dreams about conversations with my co-workers, confrontations with my manager, and conundrums that never happened in waking life more times than I'd like to admit. It seems obvious that the trials of our careers stay in our subconscious and spring up at night, but it can be jarring and quickly turn into one of those residual "Yikes! Did I forget to take that final!?!" nightmares we all have. Do you ever dream about work when you dose off?

Yes, all the time! Usually it involves very bad scenarios where things are out of control. But yeah, I definitely do have some weird dreams about things and people at work.
1I've dreamt about coworkers, but not just work. If I have, I guess I forgot the dreams because they were so boring.
2I dream about work all the time, and it usually wakes me up. And then I lie in bed wide awake for the next two hours thinking about work.
3I have an off the subject question. How do you ask savvy a question?? Email? Posting?
And yes when work is stressful I do dream about it.
4Hey petitbijoux. You can ask me a question by joining the Ask Savvy group and submitting your question to the group, or you can private message me. Thanks for reaching out!
5Yes! I am a professional lifeguard and have dreamt about making rescues. I once woke up because I was trying to hold my breath to go get someone off the bottom.
6Last night I dreamt about teaching a water exercise class.
when i'm stressed i dream about it (like about writing a report i need to finish or about completing tasks on my todo list) but it's annoying because it always happens when i'm not sleeping deeply so i toss and turn and when i wake up, it feels like i've barely slept a wink...i hate that
7Yep. Like the others, I dream more about work when I'm stressed.
8I agree with insanitypepper; when I dream about work, it keeps me up the rest of the night.
9I don't work anymore because I stay home with my kids, but when I did work I would dream about it. And I hated it, because it felt like I didn't get any rest, it felt like I was working a double!
10Yeah, nightmares about work!
