This Summer there are bargains to be had on pretty much everything, but I'm most excited about the reduced cost of travel. Forbes is pumped about it, too, and a panel of travel experts compiled a list of the 10 best bargain vacations. In order to be considered for a place on the list, each destination must have been suggested by at least two panelists. Check out what the experts agreed on when you read more.

there are a couple in there that i really expected and a few that im' surprised about. i guess you can consider it a 'bargain' compared to what you would have paid for the same trip a year ago, but in some cases i'm not sure that it's very bargain.....
1i've been to Waikiki and NYC and neither are a great bargain
2I grew up in San Diego and last time I was home in May, I lamented the fact that sales tax had gone up 1% to 8.75%. Granted, that was better than the 9.25% to 9.75% I encountered in the Bay Area, but the 8.75% prevented me from buying frivolous things.
I've visited 5 of the other cities on the list and was in Las Vegas a few months ago. There are some deals to be had there; my friend was able to book a night at Bally's for $40! I dunno if that rate would still be available over the summer though.
3See you in a few weeks, Vegas!!
4Honestly, it depends where you're flying from. For example, Hawaii is cheap for Californians, but super expensive for those on the east coast
5Hawaii is cheap now. I'm planning to go in October and it's about $625/pp including flight and hotel...for a week!
Vegas is also dirt cheap...esp. if you can go on the weekdays. A lot of rooms run about 1/3 the price of the weekends.
