Commuting to work is great for people watching, and there are always women just like you mentally preparing for the work day ahead. Have you ever wondered what those women do for a living and what kind of salaries they command? Glamour magazine did the research and gathered salary information from 20 and 30-something women around the country. What do you know about your peers' pay scale? Take the quiz!

the handbag designer is a rare bird.. $150k is NOT the average of a profession like that.
1I agree. Design doesn't always make that much. That being said, Kara Whitten is a fabulous designer. I own 2 clutches and a wallet that I adore. Very cool.
2I'm 25 and wish I made 90K a year
3Wow, I'm (cough cough) over 25 and wish I made 90K annually at something I love. I like knowing that they're compensated fairly well, esp. the handbag designer.
4That's not really fair... it depends very much on who the designer is.
5I scored double the average on the quiz -- could be because I've been out in the business world for more years -- could be because salaries haven't REALLY changed than much, proportionately, since I was in the work force.
6Doesn't Glamour do this roughly every year? They always throw in a service member, and they always give the age like that means anything, rather than pay grade or time in service. "Public Affairs Specialist" tells you nothing. At 39, she could be anything from a private to a field-grade officer. (I guess it's possible to be a general at that age, but you'd probably have to be both super high speed and combat arms.)
Sorry, not y'all's fault. I'm just kvetching.
