Pay Attention to Reason Codes
When your credit score is generated, the credit bureau will also provide a list of two-digit numbers called reason codes. The codes are meant to tell you — and lenders — why your score is less than perfect, and messages include things like delinquency or amount owed on accounts too high. The codes tell you what factors are hurting your score, so use them in making your plan to improve your credit.
