It's hard to pass judgment on a career you haven't had, but forget education, relevant experience, and interview contacts for a second. Which career do you think is cooler?

My boyfriend worked as a line cook for several years in higher end restaurants, and I would MUCH prefer the saner hours of a restaurateur...with the benefit of having a chef b/f to make me suppers
1I'd love to be a chef, even though I know the pay sucks and the hours are crappy. I think I'd enjoy cooking and actually making money for it...right now, I cook for my husband and I don't make a dime. If I had my choice of what type of chef, I'd totally be a pastry chef. That seems like THE coolest job.
2id want to be a chef!! ive been collecting recipes forever, and i need an outlet to try them out lol
3I've been on both sides of the counter, and I really prefer the pace of the kitchen. Plus, you don't have to be at the restaurant for EVERY little thing as a chef, but owners (well, GOOD ones) are there from before open to past close.

5Undecided! I think I would like either one. It would be nice if it was something you could do as a couple & swap out once in awhile. But, then again...perhaps that's too much "togetherness!"
6I love to cook, but it's for enjoyment. I could do the managing-decorating-advertising-planning-rubbing-noses type of thing though.
