Job fairs have been drawing thousands of job seekers lately, attracting unemployed professionals with a variety of expertise. The long lines at these events have led sponsors to hold them more frequently. Check out pictures from last week's Monster.com job fair in New York, and tell me, have you ever attended a job fair?

Not since college.
Although I felt like the one's I went to in college were a bit pointless.
1Not since college. And I'm with sy... those were pretty pointless.
2Yes, when I was unemployed, I went to whatever would lead to a job to get my resume out there and some face time.
3Never.
4I went to one when I was in college and was supremely overwhelmed. I can see where it offers great networking for people who do their research and know which companies and fields are going to be represented, but it was a bit much for me.
5yes i have but i haven't had much luck since they were all for 'entry level' positions. my fiance went to one last week and is going to another one this week in the hopes that maybe if they are only recruiting there for entry level that he can network some how and get a foot in the door somewhere.
6The ones that are only for one company are good, but otherwise they are pretty useless.
7I've been to two. One before I had a four year degree and one after. I got a job at the first one, but the second was a waste.
8I attended 2 when I was a freshman in college, but they were both a waste of time...telemarketers, military/government recruiters, etc...nothing I was interested in.
9I've never attended one as in actually participated. I was a Music Education major in college but I didn't really intend to use that degree. They required us to go to one right before we graduated. They took up our resume as a way of checking our attendance. I dropped off my resume and left. Had I actually been looking for a job in education it might have been a good experience but I can't say for sure.
10I've been to several, and I usually walk away disappointed. I find that most of these tables are set up just for presentation of information you already know and they often just tell you to apply on their web site. I got dressed up and spent hours wading through crowds for this? I could have done that at home in my pajamas! I have yet to make a connection with anybody who is really going to get me hired.
