well - i think that i probably spend more, but my fiance buys more things...if that makes sense. every night he comes home with something....be it a bottle of wine or milk or something, and me - i only shop on rare occasions since i just don't have the $$ right now...but when i do shop, it's usually for a bigger ticket item.

I used to spend tons more. But then I realized that my bank account (we have a joint and separate ones) was always dwindling and never growing. So I put myself on a budget and I'd say we're on par right now.

Although he tends to make more big-money purchases but that only happens about once a year or so.

I spend more not that much but more.

Tough to say! I am the one who'd buy a bunch of little things, shoes or home decor or movies. He tends to wait for a long while and then buy a new computer or big screen tv or a guest bed. He actually probably spends a little bit more, but it's close enough that it's hard to guess.

I spend more (easily determined by looking at our credit card statement) but I'm also the one who usually buys groceries, things for the house, gifts for our family, stuff for the pets, etc.

He spends more because if he likes it, he has to get it. He buys a lot of little things (dvds, itunes, comics, lunches, snacks, movie) where I occasionally buy slightly more expensive stuff (usually high quality foods like sustainable fish pr pastured/grassfed meats and milk) but I don't go as often as he does. I think he spends more in the long run.

I think that we're pretty close to even...but he probably does spend just a little bit more than me.

I buy more, but I am a thriftier shopper, so I probably spend less. I do much of our grocery shopping, pay more of the bills. But he buys more of what I consider unnecessary items: video games, DVDs, computer upgrades, wine to go with dinner, etc., which tend to be bigger ticket items, though he might only buy one or two a week, he's probably spending more.

He spends money on a new, tinier laptop, brand new camera for Con, CDs, DVDs, etc. I pay for groceries, clothes I need for work, gas, and my student loan payments. Occasionally, I might buy myself a coffee in the morning rather than my bottled coffee drink from my biweekly grocery list, and lunch if I couldn't find anything in my fridge, freezer or whatever to take to work with me. He eats out most every day for lunch.

Ironically, guess who work full-time? (Hint: not me) But who actually have savings?

Me. But we both don't spend much.

He actually SPENDS more, but I buy more, but only because I'm in charge of buying all the household items and groceries every week. He spends money on big items like his junker ATV or his collectible chainsaws and also on things like the cell phone bill, cable bill, etc.

i shop more, but im savvy about deals and coupons so i spend less, while the hubby shops less and just buys whatever. so defenitely hes the bigger spender

he spends more. i tend to buy small things when i want them. for some reason all of his stuff is big, which means more money..lol
