The library is a fantastic resource for cheap entertainment, providing access to a plethora of books, magazines, and movies. Borrowing doesn't cost you a dime, as long as you remember to return your items on time. Do you have a card to your local library?

I've had one since I could read.
1I have a card but i never use it. I have been thinking alot lately about starting to use the library. I need to find out their hours since i know they just changed them since they can't afford to be open as much
2Nope.
3Yep. I use it a lot too.
4I've been using the library a lot over the past year. Books for free--you can't beat that! I currently have 4 books and 1 audiobook checked out of a few libraries.
5I haven't gotten a new one since I moved. I keep telling myself I need to, but I just keep going to the bookstore instead. Maybe I'll go get a new card Friday.
6I order books to my branch online and then just make a pick up. Very easy, fast & free!
7Yes. We live about two blocks from the library and go at least once a week. We check out a couple of DVDs (in fact we need to return some tonight...). My husband has started checking out audio books to listen to during his commute. And of course we check out books.
love the library.
Plus, with our library you can log on to their Web site and download MP3s of audio books and download movies. Pretty nice.
8I have one, but don't use it as much as I should. It may even be expired.
9I've had one since I was very little. This reminds me to use it more often.
10I have a library card that I use regularly for books, dvds and magazines. I am there so much that the staff knows me by my first name.
11My husband and I have library cards, and we regularly use it for DVDs. Not so much for books, but I might consider using it more for that as the weather gets nicer and I start reading outside again.
12I have a few library cards and I've been planning on starting to use them more regularly. The library has so much information available, it's sad when it's not used!
13I am obsessed with our public library!
14I have been using it regularly for the past 2 years. It has been a life saver since I decided to start budgeting hardcore. Now I check out books and DVDs for free. And the online system is so easy, all I have to do is reserve it online and pick it up!
had one since i was about 4 years old
15haven't used it in years though, when i went away to university i was always using the library at school though, which obviously had much more selection
i actually just found my city library card today when i was cleaning my room, and it has my signature on the back which looks to be from about 1998... so id say at least 6-7 years since ive used it... i should get on that!!
I didn't use my card in college as much since I was so busy with school.
When I moved I had to get a new card. Apparently County A libraries are not affiliated with Country B libraries and will not take County B's card. Go figure.
16I have one and typically use it frequently, but lately I've resolved to read the books I actually already own instead, so it's been taking a rest.
17YES! I *just* came back from borrowing more books!
Sometimes I go to the bookstore [because I like the cafe...another financial trap!] and buy a magazine or a book...then I go to the library and I see the same thing for free, which makes me upset. Also, renting DVDs at the library is better than paying $3-6 at a retail rental. And I love how you can borrow as many books as you want for 3 weeks at a time.
If I keep on borrowing a book, though, it may convince me to buy it for my library that I'm building. Nice to have a free preview!
18yes i do, and my library is so fab, its got all the brand new movies and books, blockbuster, barnes and nobles what? as long as you reserve stuff in advance too
19Yes, I'm a librarian
. I advertise all the library services
constantly - not only do they have DVDs, CDs, books on DVD, etc. but they often have great community services such as finance talks and storytelling for kids.
20As an employee at a college, I use the school's main library all the time as they have a much wider selection of books than I'd find at my local library. I haven't gone to my local library in a while though because all the new books are always checked out!
21I have one and so does my 5 year old, we use them weekly normally!
22i end up spending more at the library than at the book store - i always forget to bring books back and end up being charged crazy fees and the librarians are b*tches so i stopped going
23I have one but never use it anymore. Our Library branch went through some changes over a year ago and with those changes came unpleasant experiences. Plus they've significantly reduced their inventory and the books I want to read are rarely there. So I don't go to our Library anymore.
24oh and the children use their school libraries so I don't take them either.
25I always check out more books than I can read. Right now I have a pile next to the couch.
26I love my library card!! I use it very regularly to check out movies, books, workout DVDs, and CDs. It's so much cheaper than going to a bookstore or renting movies.
27Recently, I've been too busy for reading, so my library card is taking a rest. But when I do go, I always check out more than I can read. I'm a bibliophile (well, at least I used to be one). I go to the bookstore more than the library, because they have sheet music there as well, so that I don't have to make another trip to the music store. And also, the bookstore is more convenient for me. The locations are always near the mall or at downtown or something. However, they don't really have a very good selection of sheet music...
28I had a library card for the library in the county we used to live in and I used it pretty regularly. Then we moved over into another part of Atlanta in a different county, and I haven't gotten into the Fulton County Library yet. I can still use the one in Decatur, but I'm not near the branches very often which makes it less than ideal.
29I have eight library cards. So yes!
30I used to frequent the library when I was younger but then I grew to really hate it. I don't like renting my books, I like owning them. Plus the employees are not very nice. I have a card though because it's free and I'm sure it'll come in hand some day.
31I use to go all the time. To both rent movies and use the computers to work on my resume, look for work etc. Since I now have internet in my home I don't go to the library the way I did.
32I used to always buy the books I wanted to read at Barnes and Noble but money is tight this year so I need to get back into the habit of the library!
33I love love love the NY Public Library. I used to buy all my books but I much rather borrow them from the library. I'm amazed at the selection and I love that I can request books from my computer and have it sent to my local branch. Libraries are so underutilized.
34I absolutely have no clue where my library card is.....guess it's something I have to put on my to do.
